Felt Artist

I’ve always loved art and I also love soft things. So it just seems natural that I’ve combined these two passions in my felting artwork. Felting is the process of creating items out of sheep’s wool using a variety of processes.

I use sheep’s wool in everything I create and have established lasting relationships with the dedicated farmers who provide me with various types of wool. In addition to wool, I love working with silks, fabrics, and yarn and add those fibers into my work.

I often use my work to raise awareness of problems that concern me. I have created pieces that address the overturning of the Roe V. Wade, climate change, the destruction due to wildfires, the rise of our world’s water table as well as the decline of the bee population.

My favorite items to make are various flowers, drawing inspiration from my gardens and nature.

I adore the fact that my felting passion in sustainable and earth friendly. I am merely using wool sheared annually from sheep.  I feel so fortunate that my felting passion and art does not change my carbon footprint on the planet.
