Startling Unpredictability: The Art of New Beginnings
This title is based on Hannah Arendt's reflections on the nature of beginnings and their inherent unpredictability provide a powerful framework for understanding human ion, innovation, and freedom. Her ideas inspire us to embrace the potential for newness and change, both in our personal lives and in our collective endeavors.
LOCATION: 460 Harrison Ave, 2C, Boston at SoWA, Arts and Design District

LET THERE BE LIGHT
GalaTEA FinE Art
I often use my work to shed light on topics that concern me. I was honored to have this piece displayed at Galatea for their Let There Be light show. It is truly unbelievable that I am raising daughters and granddaughters in 2023 that do not have control over their own bodies. I’ve created this Roe game jersey to represent that this battle was won over 50 years ago, yet the game goes on. I used an off white fiber to demonstrate a vintage feel as we step back in time and vintage thinking with the overturning of Roe v. Wade. The Roe jersey hangs on a female bust sculptured from wire because the women are carrying the weight of this issue. Where numbers usually are placed on a game jersey, this jersey displays an XO – because males have responsibility in this situation as well - yet the result of their actions does not change the course of their bodies or lives.

Spring Awakening

What says Spring more than cherry blossoms? Art was created using a wet felting process to create the background. I then created and stitched on 3D cherry blossoms and beads.
Pairings
Gallery Twist
Did the call for art say “Pairings?” Oh, I thought it was pearing and entered two enormous pears. Seriously though, I was thrilled to have my pair of pears highlighted on the show card for the Pairings show at Gallery Twist. The various colors of yellow wool and viscose brought a ripening look to this gorgeous pear (pair).
